Amazing Spider-Man 2 will not only feature a brand-new costume, Electro and the Rhino, but Dane DeHaan will be playing Harry Osborn as well.

We get an update from the actor about the movie where he tells the NY Times he is in training and set to begin filming soon.

"We’re already here, and I’ve been preparing. Right now it’s just about getting all my work done and bulking up a little bit. I’ll start shooting fairly soon in New York," DeHaan said. "I work out incredibly intensely six days a week and I eat every two hours. Mostly proteins and veggies. I consume at least 3,000 calories a day. I’ve already gained seven pounds in six weeks!"

While the Times notes that is not that much weight, DeHaan offers that it is for him as he says, "I weigh more right now than I’ve ever weighed in my whole life. I’ve always constantly had trouble putting on weight, so it’s actually a whole lot for me."

While it is unknown if DeHaan will end up battling Andrew Garfield, it previously did seem to slip that the actor would be playing the Green Goblin.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings into theaters May 2nd, 2014 directed by Marc Webbstarring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giammatti, Felicity Jones and Colm Feore.
