Dale Keown Draws An Awesome Maestro in "A Plus X" Featuring Hulk and Wolverine
CBR gets the first look at Dale Keown's art from A+X #1 that features Wolverine and the Hulk, written by Jeph Loeb. The series features an X-Man and an Avenger team teaming up. The first issue also sees Captain American and Cable by Dan Slott and Ron Garney.
In Dale Keown's pics below we see the Maestro taking on the Hulk! Old Man Logan is present as well to take on the little whippersnappers!
This brings back the glory years of Peter David and Dale Keown's Incredible Hulk run from the 90s, probably my all-time favorite Hulk arc. There, we saw the debut of the Maestro with Future Imperfect written by PAD with art by George Perez. The Hulk was recruited to battle his future self who had become an evil despot — and also the last super powered being on Earth! Remember the double page spread with all the heroes' weapons and artifacts - Rick Jones' trophy room - how cool was that?
I remember feel uber disappointed when Keown left the book as the very next issue featured Banner Hulk taking on the Juggernaut — something I wanted to see from Dale Keown. However, what we ended with wasn't at all bad with Gary Frank!
Here's Keown's art from A+X #1, head on over to CBR for more.
