CW's Arrow Gets A Full Season

The CW has green lit an entire full season for the new DC Comics show, Arrow.

Word comes from Green Arrow himself on Twitter as Stephen Amell announced the good news.

Best way to start a Monday? Getting picked up for your back nine episodes. Thwick. #Arrow

Arrow has been a huge hit for the CW as it produced the CW's highest ratings in 3 years.

It obviously has similarities to Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy - not just in tone and feel - but story as well, which may explain why it's so popular.

I'm not a big Green Arrow comic book fan, but I am enjoying this series; however, for a "super hero" show, it's actually quite violent as Oliver Queen kills the bad guys, while compared to Batman, who does not (or is not supposed to at least).

Of course keep in mind that the creators on Arrow don't necessarily consider this a "super hero" show as they have said numerous times no superheroes or super powers will be featured.

Seems to be working for them.

Arrow airs Wednesdays on the CW at 8pm ET.
