CW Orders Green Arrow TV Series Pilot, 'Arrow'

367 About a week ago it was made known that CW was looking at a new Green Arrow TV series.

Now they have indeed ordered up a pilot, with the series named "Arrow."

Deadline announced the news, stating the new TV series is described as a modern retelling of the DC Comics superhero Green Arrow.

Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern movie), and Andrew Kreisberg (The Vampire Diaries, Eli Stone, Warehouse 13) are listed as writers/executive producers on the pilot, with Kreisberg and Guggenheim on as writers based on a Berlanti and Guggenheim story; David Nutter (Shameless, Entourage, Game Of Thrones, X-Files) is to direct.

Justin Hartley, Smallville's GA, is again said not to be involved.
