Creators Of Merlin Bringing Atlantis To Life For BBC

6369 Merlin, the popular Knights of the Round Table show that has since found a new home on SyFy, will see the team behind it create a new series for the BBC with Atlantis.

Shooting begins next month for the new 13-episode Atlantis series in Wales and Morocco.

Deadline reports the new Atlantis series will debut this Fall and take the place of the Saturday night Merlin time slot.

Atlantis is said to be set in the mythical city of Atlantis, and re-imagines Greek myths and legends for a new generation.

Merlin writer Howard Overman is the creator behind Atlantis and is also executive producer with Merlin creators Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy.

Atlantis will star Mark Addy (Game Of Thrones), Juliet Stevenson, Sarah Parish, Robert Emms (War Horse), Jemima Rooper, Jack Donnelly and Aiysha Hart.
