Comic delivery delayed in Buffalo, NY for two consecutive weeks

For the second consecutive week, comic book delivery in Buffalo, NY has been delayed due to weather conditions from last week's storm. Lake effect snow hit Western New York last Wednesday shutting down and stranding motorists for up to 15 hours on the Thruway. Adverse weather conditions caused trucks to jack-knife backing up the Thruway. As more snow came down, ranging from 23 inches to four feet and with traffic grinding to a halt, vehicles became stuck - particularly the 18 wheelers. The Thruway was shut down for a total of 27 hours. In addition to the delay caused by the holiday from the previous week, area comic book readers had to wait until Friday to get their titles. It was also reported that some shops still didn't get their orders in and had to wait until this week - as I was informed by Staff Writer, Chris Bushley. This week, once again, comic book delivery has been delayed as the UPS Hub is still trying to play catch up in Buffalo, NY. Queen City Bookstore on Main St in Buffalo, The Card Shop on Union Rd in Cheektowaga and Don's Atomic Comics on Transit Rd. Depew all report delays.
