Clark Kent To Appear in Green Lantern Movie - But Not Superman?

Body

The writer on the Green Lantern Movie, Marc Guggenheim spoke with the MTV Splash Page on including Easter Eggs in the upcoming movie. While Guggenheim said the inclusion of Superman made it through several drafts of the script, due to budgetary issues the appearance of Superman had to be taken out. However, the writer states Clark Kent still has a chance of appearing with, "The Clark Kent cameo is still near and dear to my heart. I really wanted it to be in the movie," he added, only to joke, "You never know — it can still happen. If Tom Welling has a free hour or two, you never know." Speaking of the script, CBN went over the first draft in our First Look At Kilowog. Superman, Clark Kent or not, the writer confirms to MTV that there will be Easter Eggs present that comic fans should enjoy, "nods to keen-eyed audiences and comic book readers." Green Lantern hits June 17th 2011! Be sure to check out our Green Lantern Movie -Core- where you can find all the related news, images and more!
