Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres Tuesday nights on ABC next Fall where we can expect to see both surprise superheroes and super villains, in addition to all the super action.

Clark Gregg, who reprises as Agent Coulson, back from the dead after getting what looked to be killed off by Loki in The Avengers movie, recently said the show will be great for the fans and mentioned the surprise appearances.

“It’s awesome for fans, it’s really awesome for me,” he told Access Hollywood. “We’re out to kind of find the new threats and deal with old Marvel business and maybe you’ll see some kind of surprising villains and surprising superheroes every once in a while."

Regarding the surprise heroes and villains, it quite possible we have already seen a couple in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

With the release of the trailer came footage of a pair of what looked to be Marvel Comics superheroes.

Fans think one might be Rage of the New Warriors, with the second maybe Doctor Strange.

A Marvel Comics montage that ran in front of a S.H.I.E.L.D. trailer revealed Rage, and a mysterious magic man was shown while Agent Coulson uttered the word "strange."

We have yet to get a peek at any of the super villains.
