Christopher Nolan Says No To Justice League Movie and Batman Reboot Involvement
Contrary to what we have been told by an inside source, seems The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan will not have anything to do with the upcoming Justice League movie.
“No, none at all,” Nolan said in a recent press interview, reported by EW. “We’re finished with all we’re doing with Batman. This is the end of our take on this character.”
Cosmic Book News was told that Nolan and his wife, Emma Thomas, might be on the Justice League movie as producers, with the Man of Steel spearheading a DC shared universe, of which Nolan is on as producer.
In addition, we've been told plans for the Batman reboot include a Batman in his second year of being a super hero.
Regarding the Batman reboot, Nolan says he is not on that as well, and reiterates no Justice League movie ties.
“Batman will outlive us all, and our interpretation was ours. Obviously, we consider it definitive and kind of finished. The great thing about Batman is he lives on for future generations to reinterpret, and obviously, Warners will have to decide in the future what they’re going to do with him,” Nolan said. “We’ve had our say on the character -- I’ve got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any Justice League project.”
The Justice League movie was recently announced to be in the works written by Will Beall.
The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th, 2012 and is directed by Christopher Nolan starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra's al Ghul.
