Christopher Nolan Says No To Fourth Batman Film

Body

1911 I don't think there ever was really any question, but director Christopher Nolan made it crystal clear that he will not be directing a fourth Batman movie.

Today at the Produced By Conference which took place on the Sony lot in Culver City, Christopher Nolan let it be known, according to Deadline, that "he will definitely not be making a fourth Batman movie."

Actually, Christopher Nolan only planned on doing the first, Batman Begins, as Deadline reports, "We never had a specific trajectory,” Nolan said. “I wanted to put everything into making one great film, I didn’t want to hold anything back.”

But what the director was more vocal about was digital filmmaking as he is quoted as saying that digital filmaking is “devaluing of what we do as filmmakers.”

Deadlines notes Warner Bros”˜ Pres. Jeff Robinov was in attendance with Nolan saying "[I] didn’t have any interest in being the research department for an electronics company. It’s like filmmakers are being encouraged to buy cameras like we are buying iPods.”

Christopher Nolan's last Batman installment, The Dark Knight Rises, hits theaters July 20th, 2012 starring Christian Bale as Batman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Cain as Alfred, Juno Temple and Josh Pence as a young Ra's al Ghul.
