Christopher Nolan's new science-fiction film, Interstellar, has cast Matthew McConaughey as the lead.

It was previously rumored that Matthew McConaughey would be involved, and now the actor has confirmed he will be a part of Interstellar.

The StarTribune reports that McConaughey simply stated “I’m confirming” when questioned about his involvement.

Christopher Nolan wrote the script for Interstellar based on his brother Jonathan's original.
