Carrie Fisher Confirms She's Back As Princess Leia In New Star Wars
We finally have at least one confirmation of a returning member to the new Star Wars movie from Disney and J.J. Abrams.
Carrie Fisher let it be known that yes she will be back as Princess Leia for the Star Wars 2015 film.
In an interview with PalmBeachIllustrated she simply replied, "Yes," when asked.
Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?
Fisher goes on to state that she thinks Princess Leia will be the same, but older, and not up for the big battles as she used to be.
Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home [laughs].
I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.
She also jokes Leia will be featured in her "big bun" hairdo and bikini.
We previously heard from Mark Hamill that the three originals were in talks and that it may be a while in regards to Harrison Ford signing.
Star Wars Episode VII has a 2015 release date directed by J.J. Abrams.
