Captain America: First Avenger Sequel Might Not Be Out Until 2014

pic While promoting his recent movie, Puncture, Chris Evans answered some questions on the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger.

Evans stated the studio might not put it out until 2014, as to not to hurry and mess things up.

“They may wait until 2014 until they release the next Cap." Evans told the Playlist. "Marvel has a lot of balls in the air, they aren’t going to cannibalize their films.”

Evans also confirmed that he is signed with Marvel Studios for six pictures, which would include cameos, but says an appearance in another movie besides The Avengers and Cap would be highly unlikely as that would count as part of the six.

“Out of those six films, if I pop up in one of those [other films], it counts as part of the deal. So if they needed me in a third Cap, and I say, ‘Fuck you, give me $30 million,’ well…they want to avoid that,” he said.

Evans also spoke on all the recent images that have come out of the Clevand and NYC shootings depicting massive battle and action scenes.

“All the pieces you can find on the internet are action pieces,” Evans said.“But nothing out there is like, ‘That’ll fool ‘em!’ ”

Evans also commented on the fact that fans weren't too happy with the new look of Cap.

“You always look so horrible in those pictures,” Evans said. “I just stopped looking at them. There’s no way to look good in those photos.”

Puncture opens in theaters September 23rd.

Look for Chris Evans next as Captain America in The Avengers with a release date of May 4th, 2012.
