Captain America Director Joe Johnston Comments On Directing Star Wars

It's now Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnston's turn to comment on directing the new Star Wars movie.

Seems some fans of Johnston's put it forth that he would be a great choice, to which the director took notice to, and offered that it would depend on what the new Star Wars movie is about.

"A lot would depend on what ‘it’ is," Johnston tells the Huffington Post. "I am very glad to see LucasFilm cranking up to get productive again, regardless of who ends up doing it.”

If you are not familiar with Joe Johnston's background, it's all Star Wars.

Johnston actually came up with the design for Boba Fett's costume, was a special effects illustrator on the original Star Wars movie, and was art director on both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

Joe Johnston is currently working on Not Safe For Work.

Star Wars Episode VII has a 2015 release date.
