Bug Was In An Earlier Guardians of the Galaxy Script; No Starhawk

We get some insider information from James Gunn about the Guardians of the Galaxy movie in a recent QnA.

Fans of the Marvel Comics know that Bug eventually became a member of the 2008 DnA Guardians of the Galaxy team when he was asked to join by Rocket Raccoon.

James Gunn lets it be known that Bug was in a previous script for the movie, but didn't make the cut when he revised the screenplay himself. Gunn said the original five - Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot and Drax - were all a part of the script from the beginning.

Gunn was also asked if there were any other characters that didn't make it in the film. Gunn said Starhawk.

"There is so many great characters that are not in the movie. There is some great original Guardians. I love Starhawk."

"Guardians of the Galaxy" has an August 1, 2014 release in the U.S. starring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana As Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Vin Disel as Groot, Lee Pace as Ronan, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Djimon Houndsou as Korath, Michael Rooker as Yondu, Benicio del Toro as The Collector, John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey and Glenn Close as Nova Prime Rael.
