With Bryan Singer announcing on his Twitter the new X-Men: Apocalypse movie, it should come to no surprise that he will be directing it.

Reportedly, X-Men: Apocalypse has a May 26, 2016 release and will star Michael Fassbender as Apocalypse.

Vulture has it that it will also feature the new cast (Fassbender, James McAvoy etc.), and not the original actors.

It also remains to be seen whether or not Hugh Jackman will reprise as Wolverine, as Jackman recently let it be known he wouldn't be returning for The Wolverine sequel unless the script is good enough.

X-Men: Apocalypse is said to be a direct sequel to X-Men: Days Of Future Past, also directed by Singer, which comes out May 23, 2014.

As of yet, no details surrounding X-Men: Apocalypse have been confirmed by either Bryan Singer or Fox Studios.
