Benicio Del Toro Joins Guardians of the Galaxy In Major Reoccurring Role; Adam Warlock?
We get another cast addition for the James Gunn-directed Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy movie - which is said to be major - and it's Benicio Del Toro in an unknown role.
Deadline reports that Benicio Del Toro has been cast in the movie in a lead role said to be playing a character that will be built into future Marvel films.
No details about the character are known, but it's said Benicio Del Toro has signed on with the option to appear in multiple Marvel Studios movies.
My guess is that Benecio Del Toro could be playing Adam Warlock, as Thanos looks to be featured in future Marvel films with The Avengers 2 and/or The Avengers 3. It's quite possible that down the road Kevin Feige may want to go with an Adam Warlock movie.
Or could Del Toro be Thanos?
Let us known in the comments below your thoughts on which character the actor could play.
The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has an August 1, 2014 release directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt as Peter Quill Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer, and Zoe Saldana as Gamora.
Also rumored for roles is Michael Rooker as Yondu, John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, Glenn Close as leader of the Nova Corps, and Lee Pace, Ophelia Lovibond and Enzo Cilenti as unknown roles.
Rocket Raccoon and Groot have yet to be announced as well as the film's villain.
