Benedict Cumberbatch Says "No Offer Has Been Made" For Star Wars: Episode VII
Benedict Cumberbatch is currently at the Toronto Film Festival where the hot-in-demand actor commented on the Star Wars: Episode VII rumors.
It's been said that Disney LucasFilm will be announcing Cumberbatch as part of the Star Wars: Episode VII cast, with another rumor stating he is to play a Sith Lord.
However, Benedict Cumberbatch tells AccessHollywood that while he would love to work with J.J. Abrams again, no offer for Star Wars has been made.
"This is the simple truth. J.J. [Abrams] and I have worked together before. I would love to work with him again,” he said, referring to “Star Trek Into Darkness,” where he played Khan.
Adding, “No offer has been made. That is that. And that is that.
Benedict Cumberbatch worked with Abrams in Star Trek Into Darkness, and is attending the Toronto Film Festival this week for his indie movie The Fifth Estate.
"Star Wars: Episode VII" has a 2015 release.
