Ben McKenzie Cast As James Gordon In Gotham TV Series



Fox Studios has cast Ben McKenzie in the lead role of James Gordon for the Gotham TV series.

Ben McKenzie will play Detective Gordon in the prequel Batman series that will feature a young Bruce Wayne as well as origin stores for Batman-centric villains such as The Joker and Penguin.

Ben McKenzie is known for Southland and The O.C.

Previous details about the Gotham TV series include it will be separate from the DC Cinematic Universe; it will be dark and gritty in the vein of Christopher Nolan's Batman films, and will eventually see Batman don the cape and cowl.

No premiere date has been announced for Gotham.
