It's being reported that Ben Affleck has sustained a leg injury which will delay production of Batman Vs. Superman by six weeks.

Update: Warner Bros. has delayed the release date to May 2016.

Update #2: Ben Affleck spotted at the 2014 SAG Awards.

Original article continues.

Batman News says they have received information about the inury, but haven't been able to confirm it.

Just yesterday saw an image of Ben Affleck posted to Twitter revealing the actor is in training for the new Batman. Affleck was also spotted at the Golden Globes.

It's unclear if the Twitter image was taken on the same day or if it is from an older date.

Today also saw news that production on Batman Vs. Superman is set to begin in Michigan next month.

If the Ben Affleck leg injury is true, look for Batman Vs. Superman to begin filming in March or possibly April.

We'll be sure to update when more becomes available.

"Batman Vs Superman" has a July 17, 2015 release also starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
