Warner Bros. continues to put out hit animated movies based on the DC Comics properties with the latest being Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.

Part 2 comes out this week and the premiere was just held in NYC.

Jay Oliva, an artist on the animated movie, notes that the reason these keep being made is that they are such good sellers, and that when he sees them on Amazon.com behind something like The Avengers movie that it's awesome.

Then Michael Uslan, producer on Batman: The Dark Knight Returns as well as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, chimes in about a "Batman Beyond" live-action movie.

"Now if I can put by fanboy hat on again for one second," says Uslan. "Not the producer thing, the fanboy thing. How cool might it be if one day to see a Batman Beyond live-action movie?"

Ulsan continued to the roar of the crowd," When I think of Bruce Wayne in his 80s training a young Batman, how cool would it be to see Clint Eastwood as as Bruce Wayne in his 80s? He could pull up Batman a chair," he joked. "You never know."

Batman Beyond was an animated TV series from 1999-2001 that takes place in the future centering around Terry McGinnis as the new Batman trained by an elderly Bruce Wayne, and also has a new digital comic book currently out as well.

Regarding the next Batman movie, it's currently thought to follow the Justice League Movie and debut sometime in 2016 or 2017.
