Avenges Assemble #7 Reveals Thanos Triumphant (Spoiler)

Body

It's thought that coming out of the next issue of Avengers Assemble #8 will be the new Guardians of the Galaxy.

Not by Marvel Cosmic fan favorites' DnA or Brad Walker or Paul Pelletier, but by former Avengers-scribe Brian Michael Bendis, and possibly, Steve McNiven.

We've already said our feelings about that  - and Marvel does know how we feel - so let's just get on to Avengers Assemble #7.

If you have been reading the series, it follows The Avengers movie somewhat in that Thanos is the next big baddie the Avengers are facing, with the Mad Titan having acquired a cosmic cube. Of course, the Assemblers will need a little help and that's where the Guardians of the Galaxy come in.

This particular issue saw Thanos use the cosmic cube to summon some of the cosmic big wigs - the elders of the universe - including the Stranger and the Collector.

So what does Thanos do? He eliminates them.

But that's not all, as apparently, Thanos also takes their place. See below.

Avengers Assemble #8 hits October 10th, described as: The explosive conclusion to the Avengers’ cosmic odyssey! Will the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy be able to stop Thanos from his quest to make Earth the throne world of his new empire? The explosive fallout of the storyline will change one of the Avengers’ lives forever as a brand-new Marvel initiative spins out of this bombastic series.
