Avengers Director Joss Whedon Supports Departed Ant-Man Director Edgar Wright

Body

Yesterday saw the news that Edgar Wright had departed the Ant-Man movie over creative differences with Marvel Studios.

No specific reasons have been given.

Now The Avengers director and overall Marvel Studios consultant Joss Whedon has posted the following on Twitter, which has to be looked at as support for Edgar Wright.

In the image, Whedon is seen holding a Cornetto ice cream cone which has to be a reference to Edgar Wright's "Three Flavors Cornetto trilogy" consisting of Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007) and The World's End (2013).

Each film in the trilogy is connected to a Cornetto ice cream, with the appropriate flavor appearing in each of Wright's films.
