Aquaman Alan Ritchson Is Raphael In Ninja Turtles Reboot (2014); Compared To Avatar

6267 We get our second casting announcement for the new Ninja Turtles movie with Alan Ritchson As Raphael.

Ritchson joins Megan Fox on the movie who will play April O'Neil.

Deadline reported the news with mention that the Turtles in the movie will be more like the performance capture found in Avatar, and not like the previous movies featuring actors in bulky suits.

Alan Ritchson also has landed a role in the upcoming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie as Gloss, and Smallville fans should recognize the actor as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.

Ninja Turtles has a May 6, 2014 release directed by Jonathan Liebesman with Michal Bay producing.

The new Ninja Turtles is said to have dropped the "teenage mutant" aspects, replacing them with a more alien approach.
