Ant-Man Movie Comic-Con Footage To Be Released

Late last night we posted some news in regards to Viggo Mortensen playing Doctor Strange that may or may not have been shot down by Marvel Studios executive Victoria Alonso.

Continuing from that coverage is mention of the Ant-Man movie.

At this past Summer's San Diego Comic-Con, Edgar Wright showed off his Ant-Man movie test reel, in addition there was the big reveal about the upcoming movie.

The test reel footage was just that, in that it was an unfinished work, but it did offer a peek at the Ant-Man costume as well as Ant-Man growing and shrinking. However, if you weren't at Comic-Con, it sounds like you may have missed out.

Not so, as Marvel is apparently cleaning the footage up and will be releasing it.

Victoria Alonso told the Omlette the following (translated by The Collider):

What we showed at Comic-Con was a work in progress. We’re working on finishing it, and I think you might see it. Not sure where, but we always listen to the fans. And if the fans demand it we make sure they get it. I don’t know if we are going to post it online, but I don’t have [any reason] to believe we may not.

Last we heard about the Ant-Man movie, I believe, was that Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish have finished the script, and it's also been rumored that Ant-Man might begin filming some time after Captain America 2, which starts filming in March 2013. No release yet for Ant-Man has been set.

The Avengers 2 assembles May 1, 2015 with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014, and the Guardians of the Galaxy movie on August 1, 2014.
