Earlier this week a rumor hit that Ian McDiarmid may be returning for Star Wars: Episode VII.

No details other than that were mentioned except for speculation that Ian McDiarmid may return as Emperor Palpatine.

Now a new batch of Star Wars Episode VII rumors have landed online, with mention of a previous rumor we first told you about back in March.

Our DC Entertainment source told us that a disciple of Palpatine may be featured in the movie.

Now the fan website Latino Review has it that Palpatine had an apprentice before he was killed off.

It's also stated that Palpatine may return as a Ghost, similar to Obi Wan Kenobi, and won't be seen in human form.

Obviously these are just rumors, but still fun to keep everyone guessing.

And thanks for seemingly confirming our "scoop" LR!

Star Wars: Episode VII has a 2015 release date directed by J.J. Abrams.
