Amazing Spider-Man 2 May Have Green Goblin

5125 Marc Webb is set to begin filming soon on Amazing Spider-Man 2 and now we not only get an update on a potential second villain, but some plot details as well.

HitFix spoke to the most recent addition to the cast with Chronicle's Dane DeHaan, who is playing Harry Osborn, and he let it be known that Harry is involved in a love triangle in the movie, but wouldn't go into details. Obviously, it's either between Harry, Peter and Gwen Stacy, or Harry, Peter or Mary Jane Watson.

Regarding the Green Goblin, director John Krokidas introduced DeHaan at the opening of their movie, "To Kill Your Darlings," where he stated DeHaan was the Green Goblin.

"He's the Green Goblin," Krokidas is reported to have said with a smile, but HitFix says it didn't seem like the director was kidding.

DeHaan as the Green Goblin would join Jamie Foxx as the film's second villain as Foxx is set to play Electro.

Sam Raimi previously used both the Green Goblin and the love triangle plot in his previous Spider-Man movies. Will Marc Webb be doing the same, but - pardon the pun - with a different spin?

The "Amazing Spider-Man 2" swings into theaters May 2nd, 2014 directed by Marc Webb starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan.
