Matt created and designed Cosmic Book News, oversees all the content and updates the site. Cosmic Book News began to promote the more "cosmic/scifi" genre ("cosmic comic book news"), in addition to building a thriving cosmic based forum and community. Since its inception, CBN has evolved into covering movies, tv, gaming and more, becoming your source for pop culture entertainment news.
Recently, the Cosmic Book News sister site has been launched, Spent News, a sports entertainment news web site.
Managing Editor: Byron Brewer
Former Managing Editor of the Georgetown (KY) News-Graphic with over 30 years of journalism and writing experience, Byron's writing chores include his popular twice-weekly column, What The D'ast?, characters or storylines featured in his “Brewer Report" and also reviews of a variety of titles including Marvel’s Avengers line. A member of the renowned International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors, Byron edits for Cosmic Book News and is the creator of The Wonder Worlock character. A reader of comics since the 1960s and one-time writer of fanzine comics in the 1970s, Byron is a most welcomed addition.
Assistant Managing Editor: Chris Bushley
You can say Mr. Bushley is the "grandfather" of Cosmic Book News as he first introduced Publisher/Editor Matt McGloin to the wonderful world of comics. Chris is our "street-level" expert, covering titles such as Daredevil and X-men, in addition to penning the "Just What The DOC Ordered" column. Chris' reviews have also been quoted in press releases by Marvel. Cosmic Book News is glad to have Chris "DOC" on board! His knowledge of comics is a great asset.
Lawrence Napoli
Lawrence is our expert movie reviewer and recent addition to the team. Lawrence is a film school student and also writes the State of Hollywood column here at Cosmic Book News.
Brandon Barrows
Brandon reviews Boom! Studios titles such as Farscape and many others. Brandon is an aspiring comic book writer with his first comic, Jack Hammer: Political Science #1, just published with Top Cow writer Ron Marz saying, "I get handed a lot of books and in all honesty, this is better than 98% of them."
Darren Blackburn
Darren, our UK correspondent, is our latest columnist with his Doctor Who Column, Reverse The Polarity. Darren is also responsible for the fan based Marvel Cosmic promotional artwork for The United Front and has recently compled his own Nova fan fic with the Nova 619 Universe.
Ryan Read
Ryan maintains the latest addition to Cosmic Book News, the Cosmic CosBlog updating frequently with a variety of topics. Writer Roger Stern has taken notice and complimented Ryan's work on the blog. Ryan also records and edits the United Front podcast, takes part in the Green Lantern Spotlight podcast and runs the Spider-Girl site.
Bill Meneese
Bill is our first and foremost reviewer on cosmic titles with his weekly Cosmic Quick Takes. Quotes from Bill's reviews can be found in Marvel Solicits and Catalogs. Bill also reviews many other titles including Invincible and recently completed his first Nova Fan Fiction, Nova: The Next Generation, a story about Richard Rider's daughter, Sylvia Rider-Dru.
